​ It is a polishing system for removing medium and deep defects (P1200-P1500) from painted and gelcoat surfaces. It can be used with both rotary and orbital polishers. Excellent on old, fresh and scratch-resistant paints. Outstanding on Ultra High Solid (soft) clear coats. Leaves a brilliant final result without opacity and holograms with protection. 

Where to use 487 Polymer
 ​ ​ Can be used on all automotive paints such as: traditional and Ultra High Solid low V.O.C. clearcoats, air-drying clearcoats, scratch-resistant clearcoats and all OEM paints.

How to use 487 Polymer
 ​ ​ WITH ROTARY POLISHING MACHINE: 
Use with FOAMED WOOL PAD or with PURPLE CUTTING FOAM PAD abrasive sponge pad to remove sanding marks P1500-P2000 and finish with WHITE/BLACK sponge pad to restore the original gloss without dullness and holograms. For a perfect single-pass result use ONE STEP COMPOUND with the PURPLE CUTTING FOAM PAD abrasive sponge pad.  

Step 1. For best abrasive action use ONE STEP COMPOUND with FOAMED WOOL PAD or with BROWN or PURPLE CUTTING FOAM PAD at a speed of 1200- 1800 rpm.  
Step 2. For a polishing action without opacity, halos and holograms use ONE STEP COMPOUND with the medium white pad WHITE FOAM PAD at a speed of 1200-1800 rpm or with the yellow pad YELLOW POLISHING FOAM PAD. 

 USE WITH ORBITAL POLISHING MACHINE: 
Use with white microfiber pad or with thin medium pad GREY Cutting FROM THIN PAD to remove sanding marks P1200-P1500 and finish with thin yellow pad YELLOW Polishing FROM THIN PAD to restore the original gloss without dullness and holograms. For a perfect single-pass result use ONE STEP COMPOUND with thin grey GREY Cutting DA THIN PAD. 

 Step 1. Use 487 POLYMER with the white microfibre pad (P1200) or the brown abrasive pad BROWN FOAM PAD (P1500) for a quick abrasive action.  
Step 2. Use with YELLOW POLISHING THIN PAD or YELLOW POLISHING FOAM PAD to restore maximum gloss without halos, dullness or holograms. 

Technical description
 Do not use too much product.  
Do not add water during polishing. 
1 - Apply a small amount of One Step Compound to the surface to be treated. Polish small areas at a time. 
2 - Polish the surface by applying medium pressure until the defect is completely removed. 
3 - Reduce pressure to restore full gloss. 
4 - Remove any residue with our ULTRAMICROFIBRE CLOTH. 
5 - For long-term protection apply 463 PAINT SELANT, which withstands 150 manual washes with hydrophobic effect or our 460 Ceramic coating with 3- or 5-year protection.
